Principal Suzanne Fortier joined dignitaries from Montreal and Ottawa in celebrating the announcement of $213 million in research funding for Montreal institutions from the Canada First Research Excellence Fund (CFREF). $84 million will fund McGill's Healthy Brains for Healthy Lives initiative.

MP Marc Miller was at McGill on September 15th to announce $13 million in cyberinfrastructure funding from the Canada Foundation for Innovation. Over $1 million will fund the CBRAIN program at the McGill Neurological Institute. Read more about CBRAIN and the cyberinfastructure funding here
